Introduction

90% of Australia's proven iron ore resources are concentrated in Western Australia, mainly distributed in two regions: the Pillbara region and the Midwest region. The pyrite concentrator invested by the client in Western Australia, because its pyrite grade is not high and the gangue minerals it contains are easy to sludge, so the "gravity separation-flotation combined method" is used for beneficiation. After the reasonable configuration of Mecru and combined with the needs of customers, the final production line can achieve good beneficiation standards.

Detailed configuration

First, the crushed ore is re-selected by stirring, crushing and screening operations. For coarser grades of ore particles, jigging is used for gravity separation, the concentrate obtained by jigging is used as the final concentrate, and the tailings are ground and then subjected to flotation. In the jigging beneficiation, according to the size of the pyrite particles, the appropriate operating conditions such as the stroke, the number of strokes and the amount of water to be added should be selected. For fine-grained ore particles, the spiral chute is used for gravity separation, and then the concentrate and medium ore selected by the spiral chute are mixed for flotation. The chemical used in flotation is the same as that in single flotation, but the concentration of the chemical is greatly reduced.
